Stage V is the new emission standard for engines that is applied in agriculture, industry, and inland shipping. For the agriculture and the industry, John Deere are up to date. For the Internal Water Ways, there is not that much on the market.

NPS Diesel will start with in-house certification for the maritime 13,5-liter engine (272-427 kW) for John Deere. To meet the requirements, NPS Diesel will cooperate with sister company Xeamos in Wijchen for an aftertreatment system for this engine. The project has started already, and the certification of the engines should be finished late 2022.
