Doosan infracore expands industrial motor

26 mars 2021

NPS Diesel is the distributor of Doosan infracore engines. We will inform you about the latest developments in the area of diesel engine of the Doosan Group.

Doosan stage V Diesel engines

Next to all of the available Stage V certified diesel engines, consisting of the D18, D24 and D34, the D10 is added to the product range.

This fully mechanical 1.0 liter 3-cylinder engine with a power of 18kW meets the Stage V NRE emission standard without using the EGR and aftertreatment system. By doing this, the engine stays compact which is a nice advantage for small applications with limited installation space.

LPG as an alternative?

For working environments where diesel engines are not an option, Doosan has an alternative LPG engine. These Stage V certified 2.4 and 3.4 liter engines deliver a power ranging from 40kW up to 60kW. LPG engines are more quiet than diesel engines and can be used in places where the production of noise is an important aspect. Next to that LPG engines produce less soot (PM), and therefore are these LPG engines more compatible to use in closed areas than a diesel engine. Both LPG engines do not need aftertreatment systems to comply with the Stage V NRE emission standards.

Hybridization

Looking at the future and emission laws that are becoming more and more strict, Doosan also takes a look at alternatives. The development of hybrid engines has a big focus in the development program of Doosan. Based on the D24 and the D34, new engines H24 and H34 are going to be launched soon. These diesel engines are supplied with 20kW electro engine that is connected to the flywheel. This offers options to say goodbye to SCR system and its need for Adblue and can help with start-stop or torque support. The goal of this is to be able to select a smaller engine, with benefits like smaller installation spaces as well as lower fuel costs. At this moment, the project is in the final test phase and Doosan is still looking for companies that are willing to provide a machine for this as a testcase.
